After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Meeting & Event Management, Katy worked at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for almost five years handling restaurant sales and Special Events.  From 2010 to 2012 she worked at the local food bank as a Volunteer Coordinator where she fell in love with motivating people and getting them excited about a cause.  Marrying her passion for creativity and events as well as engaging with people, she found her dream job at Allegiant, a Las Vegas based airline whose unique business model is based around taking people on their vacation.  She started as a Program Specialist, starting the company’s first recognition program, sport team sponsorships and oversaw an intranet transition.  In the three and half years with Allegiant, she was promoted to Manager of Culture and Engagement, the company has doubled in size and she oversees a team who increase Team Members engagement, manages the recognition program, and oversees all internal communication.
